Mel C, Bonnie Tyler and Chasing Abbey to play dates at Leopardstown this summer

Bonnie Tyler and Spice Girls star Melanie C will join Chasing Abbey, Lyra and Hermitage Green on the line up for Bulmers Live at Leopardstown this summer.

The five-day horse racing event brings each act to the stage for dates across July and August.

Tickets go on sale from tomorrow at 10am with packages available from €30 on the Leopardstown website, though organisers have urged fans to act fast as high demand is expected.

Total Eclipse of the Heart singer Bonnie Tyler will take to the stage on Thursday, August 8.

Her 50-year career has seen her achieve music stardom and chart success across the world with hits like Holding Out for a Hero.

Sporty Spice Melanie C will perform on Thursday, August 22, arriving with 11 UK number ones under her belt.

Irish dance pop trio Chasing Abbey will take to the stage at Leopardstown on Thursday, July 25, while Cork-born artist Lyra will perform on Thursday, July 18.

Meanwhile, Hermitage Green will arrive at the event on Thursday, July 11.

Previous acts have included The Human League, The Undertones, Razorlight, Gavin James, Imelda May, Coolio and The Boomtown Rats.

Leopardstown Racecourse CEO Tim Husbands said the event features five “top-class artists” and said the performance by Melanie C looks likely to be “a highlight of the year”.

"We’re thrilled to have Melanie on the line up alongside Bonnie Tyler and superb Irish artists Lyra, Hermitage Green and Chasing Abbey. I would encourage people to secure their tickets early as we are expecting high demand,” he said.
