A non-profit company set up to help Ukrainians in Ireland find accommodation has reported that over a quarter of its expenditure in its first year went to related parties, which included paying the salary of its chief executive.

Helping Irish Hosts (HIH) was established in 2022 after the Russian invasion of Ukraine to help match Irish hosts with Ukrainians seeking accommodation here and to provide support.
