Jamison-Gibson Park didn’t spend his Great Barrier Island childhood dreaming of playing on Croke Park’s hallowed turf, like so many of us did, but I’m sure after yesterday — despite Leinster’s second-half wobble — Jones’s Road will always have a special place in his heart.

The Leinster No 9 was immense: his decision-making was on point, his passing crisp, and he controlled the tempo — taking it up and down with intelligence and maturity.
