Una Healy is set to star in a new Netflix survival show featuring Bear Grylls that will see her share the small screen with Holly Willoughby.

In a bid to show “a different side to her” the Saturdays singer has been linked to the show where the survival expert and former SAS trooper hunts down contestants in a jungle in South America.

The upcoming show, entitled Bear Hunt, which is produced by Grylls' company, will also mark Holly's first presenting gig since she left This Morning.

According to The Sun, a source claims that Netflix has thrown a “serious amount of money” at securing some big names including Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas, Kate Moss' sister Lottie, retired rugby player Danny Cipriani and Scary Spice Mel B.

“Una has signed up to try and show a different side to her,” the source has been quoted as saying. “People know her for the Saturdays, and for her short-lived fling with David Haye.

“Taking part in Bear Hunt will show a side of her that the public hasn’t seen before.”

Bear Hunt, which will begin filming later this year, is expected to air in 2025.

Netflix bosses were previously said to have been “ecstatic” that they were able to hire Holly who hosted I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! alongside Dec Donnelly back in 2018.

Holly had taken over from Ant McPartlin for the 2018 series of the show after he checked himself into rehab for alcohol and painkiller addiction.

The mum-of-three's performance was hailed as a huge success,

Una found fame with The Saturdays, who were one of the biggest pop groups around with 13 UK top-ten singles to their name before the group went their separate ways a decade ago.

Una released her debut solo album The Waiting Game in 2017 and a number of singles in recent years.

She shared her version of The Chicks’ song Travelin Soldier on Monday that prompted fans to take to the comments section to applaud her performance.

“Would love an acoustic album of Irish songs. Love your voice,” one declared.

Anther wrote: “Great version of this brilliant song and yes an album of these acoustic songs would be fab.”

Una is also a presenter on Absolute Radio Country, one of the UK’s biggest radio stations that focuses on country music.
