A man has apologised before the High Court for what he said was a "genuine mistake" in breaching orders not to contact a Co Laois couple who have sued him over ownership of a garage where an alligator was kept.

The apology was given by Noel Martin Snr during a hearing at which Mr Justice David Nolan deemed that he had breached the court's order.
