Enoch Burke tells defamation case that other prisoners were singing his praises in Mountjoy

Jailed schoolteacher Enoch Burke has claimed a newspaper article about him was a “character assassination” that sold “a lie” and was “professionally devastating”.

Mr Burke said a Sunday Independent report published while he was in Mountjoy Prison for the first time for contempt of court falsely said he had to move cells for his own safety because he was “annoying other prisoners”.
