The Taoiseach’s strength in dealing with the Stardust survivors is that he listened with his head but also with his heart.

A week after the state apology to families of the Stardust victims, what is glaringly apparent is the degree to which the event and the repercussions in the aftermath of the event had a lifelong impact on the families and friends left behind. The only word that hints at the appalling consequences of that awful night is “trauma”.
