Man due in court after €300k worth of cannabis seized in Limerick

A fourth man arrested in connection with the seizure of €300,000 worth of cannabis in Limerick on Friday has been charged.

Gardaí seized the cannabis plants and cannabis in the Clare Street area of Limerick City on Friday.

He is one of four men arrested and is expected to appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court this morning at 10.30am.

A garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations were ongoing.

The searches were carried out by Limerick Divisional Drug Unit, supported by members of the Regional Armed Support Unit.

Approximately €10,000 in cash was uncovered, as well as 30 cannabis plants and approximately 15 kilos of cannabis with a combined total estimated value of €300,000/

The drugs seized were sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
