It can be tempting to offer a reward when we want our child to work hard or value their education, but this external motivator can interfere with the child’s inherent desire to do well
Recently I got asked, “Is it OK to incentivise my teenage daughter with money if she gets over 80pc in her summer exams?”.
I am not sure that a simple yes or no answer will suffice, as there are several things to consider when using money to incentivise children.
