It’s like the Government is playing a game of “let’s misread the room” and winning spectacularly. Or maybe they’ve just lost touch with reality. Last week, we were treated to the Government Chief Whip Hildegarde Naughton launching a campaign to tackle the oh-so-pressing issue of period taboos.

Because, you know, when I wake up in the morning and think about the burning problems facing our nation, the first thing that comes to mind is, “We really need to talk more about menstrual cycles”.
