Man charged with robbery in Kerry must stay away from Killarney National Park and Port Road

A man has appeared before Listowel District Court charged with robbing American tourist, Andrea Bartlett, at Port Road, Killarney

Tomas Starodubcevas (23) of Tudor Lodge, Woodlawn Road, Killarney is charged that on April 22 that he did rob Mrs Barlett of €325.

Mr Starodubcevas was arrested yesterday and brought before court this morning in front of Judge Philip O’Leary to face a single charge of robbery.

He is represented by solicitor Brendan Ahern who said he was fully co-operative with gardaí.

Mr Starodubcevas has been granted bail on strict conditions including that he observe a curfew between 10pm and 8am as well as stay out of Killarney National park and away from Port Road, Killarney.

He must also sign on daily at Killarney Garda Station and surrender his passport. He must also not leave the jurisdiction.

The case has been adjourned to May 21 for DPP directions.
