This, it’s fair to say, is not where Kerry FC wanted to be: back at the foot of the table, off the back of a run of five straight defeats.
Longford Town’s victory over Treaty United on Monday evening in Bishopsgate, confirmed the Kingdom’s tumble back to the basement of the First Division. After so much early season promise this could feel like a bit of a kick in the teeth for management, players and fans alike.
