Outgoing President Fiona Matthews handed over the Presidential Chain to incoming President Margaret Geraghty at the Drogheda Club’s AGM which was held in the Monasterboice Inn on Tuesday night 16th April.

Margaret thanked Fiona for her work as President and presented her with the Past President’s badge. Club members wished Margaret well for her year ahead in office. Sheelagh Bowers was appointed club Secretary and takes over from outgoing Secretary Siobhan Matthews.

The beautiful silver chain worn by President Margaret was designed by Bee Trench, nee Orpen, a well-known local artist. The name of each past president is engraved on the links of the chain.

In December 2023 Drogheda Soroptimist club celebrated their 65th Birthday at a lunch in the Marcy Hotel.
