Swapping kits for gowns, O'Raghallaigh’s/Plunkett’s Senior Ladies team recently celebrated winning the intermediate championship final in October last year.

Colm Corrigan of LMFM hosted on the night and Angela and Liam O’Neill from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association were in attendance, as the young women proudly received their medals.

Awards on the night were for Lainey McCormack who is Player of the Year, Nora Conlon Players’ Players of the Year and Chloe Sawyer was awarded Most Improved Player of the Year.

“We amalgamated both teams in 2017 and for the past seven years this has been a huge success story,” says club secretary Maura Rogan. “We are hoping to go on now and achieve more success. The Glenside was amazing and we are entirely grateful for our sponsors on the night”.

The girls looked beautiful on the night most usually seen in their GAA gear, it was an event from them to get dressed up and be recognised for their achievement on the field with the backing of both clubs. (Some girls had never got to have their debs due to COVID-19 so they were particularly excited.) They shared the night with their families, partners, friends and club members.
