Meath planning chiefs to rule on 38-strong housing development plan in Kentstown

Plans have been lodged to build 38 new homes in Kentstown, Co Meath.

Plans have been submitted to build close to 40 new homes in a county Meath village.

Dublin based firm Garranvale Limited have tabled proposals with Meath County Council to construct 38 two-storey units along the Veldonstown Road, Kentstown in county Meath.

The majority of those, approximately 30 of those houses will take the form of three bedroom units, subject to planning permission being granted.

The remaining eight houses provide for four two bedroom dwellings and four larger homes consisting of four bedrooms.

The proposed development also includes plans for a near 2.5 acre centrally located public open space and 80 car parking spaces.

The total size of the proposed site is 3.83 hectares or over nine acres.

A final decision by Meath County Council is expected by June 19.
