A “worn out” father of three has told of how he was forced to close down his county Monaghan based taxi business due to ever increasing regulatory pressures and a chronic dearth of young drivers willing to take up the profession.

Patrick Gilsenan had been the brains behind Call-a-Car, arguably Monaghan’s largest taxi and minibus service for over two decades.
