ESB will be carrying out some upgrade works around Gorey town over the coming months.

The works will begin on the lower main street and continue out the Arklow Road and St Michael’s Road. The ESB are hoping to start works by the end of April.

Senior Executive Engineer Joanne Kehoe said the works will have very little impact on traffic flow around the town but there may be some parking bays closed off near the junction.

“We’ve covered a lot of the inconvenience with conditions under the license so the main work which will impact traffic will happen at night,” said Mrs Kehoe.

The works could take up to a year to complete.
