Cllr Bridin Murphy has urgently appealed to Minister Eamon Ryan for extra funding to address the severe road damage caused by consistent bad weather in Co Wexford.

“I have been contacted by many people complaining about the condition of some of our rural roads,” said Cllr Murphy. “You only have to drive some rural roads to see that the recent weather has torn them apart. I have also had numerous calls from people who have burst tyres after hitting a pothole in the road. The difficulty now is that the road budget 2024 has been allocated, making it nearly impossible for these roads to be repaired.”
