Premier Division

North End United moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier Division with an emphatic 11-1 win over local rivals Wexford Bohemians at Hollygrove on Sunday.

Eoin Rhodes hit the back of the net five times for the hosts, while Evan Farrell added a double and Paul Murphy, Niall Connolly, Ayman Yousif and Shane Dempsey chipped in with one apiece. Kyle Mann got the goal for Bohs.

North End also got three points on the board in midweek, with a 3-1 win over Ferns United in Hollygrove on Wednesday evening. Cian Carty opened the scoring with just two minutes on the clock, and Evan Farrell teed up Eoin Rhodes to double their advantage eleven minutes later.

Farrell got on the scoresheet himself eight minutes before the break, with Carty providing the assist, to give the Sky Blues a healthy 3-0 half-time lead.

Ferns did manage to pull a goal back seven minutes after the interval through a Kieran Murphy penalty, but they couldn’t eat into the North End advantage any further.

Forth Celtic and Moyne Rangers shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw in Matt Ennis Park on Sunday. Eoin Doyle fired the hosts in front in the 18th minute, but the Enniscorthy outfit led 2-1 at the break thanks to goals from Kamil Kutiewicz and Conor McCarney.

Lee Busher hit the back of the net ten minutes into the second-half to earn the Murrintown side a point.

Shamrock Rovers secured a 3-1 success against Ferns United in Peter Quinn Park. Chris Kenny opened the scoring with just eight minutes on the clock, and Shane Cullen doubled their advantage six minutes before the break. Ivan Meegan halved the deficit in first-half injury-time, but Kenny grabbed his second in the 57th minute to restore the two-goal cushion.

Crossabeg AFC picked up an important three points as they beat bottom side Ajax Athletic 2-0 with first-half goals from Cian Kinlough and Aaron Lambert.

A Joe Finn hat-trick earned Bunclody AFC a 3-2 win in Campile. Dylan Whitty put the home side ahead after just four minutes, but Finn drew Bunclody level a mere two minutes later.

Ryan Harris restored the Campile advantage shortly after the interval, but Finn levelled matters in the 81st minute and grabbed the winner four minutes into injury-time.

Division 1

New Ross Celtic are in pole position in Division 1 following a 4-0 win over Corach Ramblers in Butlersland on Sunday.

Dylan Wickham opened the scoring midway through the first-half, and Eryk Borowiec added a second before the interval.

Anthony O’Connor extended their advantage in the 71st minute before Keane Walsh put the icing on the cake in injury time.

An Aaron Roche double earned North End United a 2-1 win over Courtown Hibs in Hollygrove on Thursday evening.

Roche opened the scoring midway through the first-half and, although Maksymilian Denisiuk levelled matters before the break, the North End man popped up with the winner with 15 minutes remaining.

Meanwhile, Courtown received a walkover from Cloughbawn on Sunday.

Division 2

Rathnure secured promotion to Division 1 with a 2-0 win over Forth Celtic in Matt Ennis Park on Sunday. The table-toppers now have the title very much in their sights after goals either side of the break, from A.J. Redmond and Robert Flynn, secured a precious victory.

St. Joseph’s kept themselves very much in contention for the crown with a 4-2 win over title-rivals Kilmore United in Grove Park on Sunday.

Robert Vickers put the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute, but David Millar drew Kilmore level before the break. An own goal restored the St. Joseph’s lead, but again Kilmore had a response, and Paul Roche made it 2-2.

Dylan McEvoy put the Kilmuckridge outfit back in front just past the hour mark, and Tomás Whelan quickly added a fourth to seal the deal.

Kilmore and St. Joseph’s both picked up three points on Thursday evening with hard-fought victories. Kilmore fought back from the concession of an early goal to edge out Wexford Bohemians 2-1 in Danescastle. Seán Pailing gave the Drinagh outfit the lead with just five minutes on the clock, but Liam Whelan levelled matters midway through the first-half and Paul Roche got what proved to be the winner ten minutes before the break.

A single goal was enough for St. Joseph’s to edge out Tombrack United in Grove Park, with David Smyth hitting the back of the net in first-half injury-time.

Adamstown boosted their survival hopes with a 4-1 home win over bottom side Wexford Celtic on Thursday evening.

Daryl Walsh gave the hosts a ninth-minute lead and, although Adam Kevin Boylan equalised just four minutes later, Adamstown took control after the break.

Conor Hickey put them back in front in the 55th minute, and Walsh grabbed his second to make it 3-1 one minute later.

Donny McDonald gave them further breathing space with their fourth goal in the 64th minute.

Tombrack United stormed to a 9-2 success against Wexford Celtic on Sunday. Barry O’Toole had his shooting boots on, scoring five times for the winners, while James Coleman, Harry Fitzgibbon, Matthew Hendrick and Eoghain Murphy added one piece. Shane Connick and Alan Larkin netted for Celtic.

Wexford Bohemians earned a 2-1 away win against Killenagh Wanderers on Sunday.
