Mass times: St Fintans church Mayglass on Saturday at 7.30pm. St Marys church Ballymore on Sunday at 9.30am. Adoration takes place on Wednesday morning from 10am-11am.

Local Bus Link

Now in operation twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday with pick up point at Mayglass cemetery at 10.15am and depart Redmond square at 2.30pm both days. If you wish to avail of this service call 053-9011828. Club Lotto

St Fintans GAA club in association with St Marys Rosslare lotto fundraiser takes place each Tuesday night. The jackpot for the next draw now stands at €7,650. The numbers drawn were 5,7,10,22. We had one match three winner in Darren Newport. We thank you for your continued support. Tickets costing just €2 are available from the usual sellers or from any committee member.

St Fintans

Having defeated Glynn/Barntown in the All County football league during the past week the St Fintans hurling team took on Marshalstown/ Castledockrell on Sunday last in an All county hurling league Div 5 game.

The club remains busy at underage level also with the u-14 hurling team scoring a comfortable victory over Crossabeg Ballymurn the u-16 and u-18 football teams were less fortunate when neighbours Kilmore defeated the u-16 team and St Marys Maudlintown proved too strong for the u-18 team.

GAA Nursery

The GAA nursery for 2024 has begun with Ballymore and Carne GAA grounds as the venues. The evenings cater for boys and girls 4 and 5 years old. Last year pre school and junior infants. Hurling 365

The hurling 365 sessions are running at Mayglass school at 8.30am on Wednesday mornings. This is an ideal opportunity for children to get some fresh air and have fun and games before school starts.

Pilates

Pilates with Hilary takes place on Mondays in Ballycogley hall for beginners at 7.30pm. Enniscorthy IFA centre on Wednesdays for beginners from 6pm and intermediate 7.15 pm. Suitable for all levels of fitness. Six-week block €50, pay as you go €10 and booking is essential. Contact Hilary 087 2027306.

Tidy Towns

Carrig-on-Bannow Tidy Towns A.G.M. will take place at 8.30pm on Wednesday 1st May in Teach na nOg Preschool. Should members of the community wish to volunteer in the year ahead, we would ask such prospective volunteers to come along on the night.

We also encourage all residents and business owners in our village to consider some cleaning of their properties, decluttering, fresh painting, summer planting, etc. as adjudication of our village generally takes place in early June. All help much appreciated.

Dance Fit every Thursday night. Dance Fit Class will start at 7p.m. and Social Dance Class will start at 8p.m. No partner required, lots of fun, plenty of exercise and fun! Pay as you go.

Folklore screening and Talk - Grantstown Daycare Centre have organised a very special event with acclaimed artist/folklorist, Michael Fortune, in Grantstown on Wednesday, 1st May beginning at 11.00am till 12.30. The event will be followed by music, songs, decoration of the May Bush and revival of the Traan Water tradition. All are welcome to attend and there is no entry charge.

Bingo - Bingo with Raffle and Split the Pot every Wednesday night at 7.30 p.m. in the Daycare Centre to raise much needed funds for the Centre. Why not come along and support this worthy cause and win a few euro for yourself when you are here.

Bree AC AGM and Presentation of Club Awards for 2023, took place in Bree Community Centre on Thursday, 25th April.

Community Games News

Congratulations to Roisin Fay on winning the gold medal in the Co Grass Cycling Final. Well done also to Matthew Murphy on winning the Bronze medal at the same event.

Best of luck to all those taking part in the Co Talent Final which takes place in Bree Community Centre on Saturday, May 11th. Entries are still being taken until Friday, 3rd May to Clare 0874151350.

The local Athletic Finals will take place on Friday, 17th May in Enniscorthy Hub. Registrations will be taken from 5.30pm, for 6.15pm start on the track with U10 60m Hurdles. Contact 0874151350 for further details.

Bree Utd Bingo

Bree Utd hosts bingo every Sunday evening at 6pm in Hammel’s of Bree. Come along and join in the fun. Loads of chances to win. Bree Utd split the pot envelopes are in Centra in Bree and Hammel’s of Bree. Draws takes place every second Monday. Thank you to all who support the club.

Baby & Toddler Group

Bree Baby and Toddler Group meet each Tuesday 10.30am-12noon in Bree Community Centre. Open to parents, grandparents, childminders, babies, toddlers and wobblers.
