ROSSLARE HARBOUR

Launch of Biodiversity Action Plan

Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane Environment Group are delighted to announce the launch of Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane Community Biodiversity Action Plan. This detailed plan was funded by The Community Foundation of Ireland and expertly compiled by Mr Jim Hurley, SWC Promotions. Jim is the weekly columnist in the People Paper’s Nature Trail and has worked with us on the Biodiversity pond in the gardens.

RHKEG invite and encourage both young and old to come along to the launch in Kilrane National School on Wednesday 1st May, 7.30pm- 9pm. The evening will consist of a presentation by Jim Hurley and will be facilitated by Betty Kehoe, our local Biodiversity Officer. This is a great opportunity to learn how we as a community, with the support of our statutory bodies, need to manage our biodiversity for future generations. You will get some practical advice about how to promote biodiversity both in our local areas and our own gardens.
