Having spent a “significant amount of money” restoring steps between Kennedy Park and the entrance of Highfields, Wexford County Council may be forced to go back and start again after numerous elderly residents reported that the work carried out has made it even more difficult for them to get around.

The steps which start at the back of Kennedy Park and emerge opposite St Joseph’s Community Centre had fallen into a poor state of disrepair in recent years, prompting the local authority to address it.
