Card drive

45 card drive will be on every Thursday night at 8pm in Glenealy Village Hall. New players are always welcome.

No Poster Village

Tidy Towns would like to remind everyone that we are a ‘No Poster Village’ from the Deputy’s pass road to the Welcome sign on the Rathnew side and on the back road to Ashford as far as Hargrove estate. Thank you.

Men & Women Shed

We are looking at setting up a Men and Women shed here in Glenealy Village Hall. Anyone who might be interested in this please contact Tomas Cooney on 087 1266624.

Glenealy Hurling Club

There is a clothes collection fundraiser for club, anyone who is looking to dispose of old clothing, shoes etc. Please leave in Glenealy club house before 14th May. All proceeds to Glenealy hurling club.

Coffee morning

The next monthly coffee morning is on Wednesday morning 1st May from 10am to 11am in Glenealy Village Hall. All welcome.

Blessing of the graves

The blessing of the graves will take place in Glenealy on Saturday 20th July at 3pm. Refreshments in the Hall afterwards courtesy of Glenealy Tidy Towns.

Pilates

Foroige youth club

Indoor Bowls

Indoor bowls has resumed in Glenealy village hall on Wednesdays at 8pm. A great hobby for the winter months. New players always welcome.

Book Exchange

If anyone would like to exchange books or take books, the book shelf is just inside the main door at hall. There is a great selection to choose from.

The all new Glendalough Craft Fair will showcase the very talented crafters from around the country on Sunday May 12th, from 10am to 3pm. For people who have difficulty accessing their nearest public library, the Mobile Library Service gives them the opportunity to avail of a public library facility. The mobile library carries approximately 2,500 items with free access to many online resources including downloadable audio books, newspapers and more.

Scrap Collection

Donate your scrap at the Brockagh Resource Centre from 3rd to 7th May. Some of the items you can bring are biscuit tins, steel oil tanks, steel window frames, steel coal bunkers, car batteries, radiators, solid fuel cookers, sheep wire, bicycles, old cars without the tyres, steel wheelbarrows, golf irons, etc.

STRICTLY NO fridges, freezers, cookers, timber, plastics or tyres! Please do not remove scrap or metal from the premises. Camera in operation!

Glendalough Market(carboot)

Our next event is on Sunday, May 12th. Come shop indoor and outdoor with a variety of items for sale with plenty of bargains from gifts, clothes, plants, books, toys, aloe vera products, artwork, tools, household items etc. You might be a keen bargain hunter or enjoy browsing for affordable gifts. Open to the public from 10am to 3pm. Tea, coffee and food snacks are available.

MUSIC IN CALARY

The first concert of Music in Calary’s 2024 season will take place at 8pm on Friday 3rd May in Calary Church when The Dublin Viols together with soprano Aisling Kenny will perform music of the late Renaissance, mostly by English composers of the sixteenth and early seventeenth century including William Byrd.

Music in Calary is delighted to be able to welcome such wonderful performers especially for the first concert of 2024. We would also like to thank Wicklow County Council for their support.

Roundwood Cancer Support office is open every Monday and Friday from ten to twelve o clock for anyone who needs advice or help when dealing with Cancer.

The Roundwood Creative Hub Market is relocating to the Roundwood AFC Family Funday at the soccer grounds for this weekend. Please note that this means the market will be held on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Wicklow County Council Mobile Library will be in Roundwood Village on Thursday 9th May from 10am until 11.15am and also from 2.10pm until 4.30pm. Come along and join the library. It’s a free service and is a fantastic way to pick up any book that suits your reading interests.
