The dream duel never really materialised at Cheltenham with Fastorslow unseating JJ Slevin before the business end, but rivalries are renewed with Galopin Des Champs in today’s fascinating Punchestown Gold Cup (5.25).

Galopin Des Champs went on to join an illustrious band of equine greats as a two-time Gold Cup winner that day and it leaves the score at 3-2 in his favour, although Fastorslow did prevail when they met in this race 12 months ago.
