Ireland travel to Twickenham to face England, fresh from last week’s maiden win over Wales.

Following opening defeats at the hands of France and Italy, the 31-point victory over Wales will give head coach Scott Bemand and his Irish squad a big boost heading into this afternoon’s clash.

Kick-off at the London venue is 2.15pm.

That's all we have time for unfortunately! I hope you have a pleasant afternoon and remainder of the weekend. Far from the ideal result for Ireland against a powerful England side at Twickenham, but Scott Bemand's Girls in Green will look to bounce back against Scotland in their penultimate 2024 Six Nations match next Saturday.

Scott Bemand also spoke to Virgin Media at full-time. Ireland's head coach tried to remain positive about certain aspects despite the heavy defeat:

That will hurt for this Irish team. Although they showed brief glimmers of hope, ultimately it was always going to be a big ask for Scott Bemand's side taking on the World's No.1 side in Twickenham. England stretched clear inside the first-half with 6 unanswered tries.

While Clionadh Moloney forged Ireland's penalty try in the second-half. Even with the numerical disadvantage, England tagged on another 8 tries after the break. The 78-point winning margin is just one short of Ireland's heaviest defeat to England at this level.

A chastening lesson for Scott Bemand's Ireland who were simply blown away this afternoon by a Grand Slam chasing England.

England's Ellie Kildunne wins the player of the match award.

Another difficult conversion from the touchline foils Holly Aitchison.

A first try for Maddie Feaunati in English colours. Once again, Ireland's defensive setup is stretched with one pass that takes out four players. Jess Breach is hauled down just before the line but has the awareness to pop the ball to her supporting back rower Feaunati.

Aitchison is inaccurate from the tee this time around.

It's a hat-trick for Ellie Kildunne... Ireland's afternoon continues to darken.

Abby Dow forces the turnover, Emily Scarratt mimics Aitchison's grubber kick from the aforementioned try. Ellie Kildunne shows a clean pair of heels to gather and score.

Aitchison has truly found her kicking boots with another superb conversion from the touchline.

England's linebreak comes from Ellie Kildunne who sets Alex Matthews free along the touchline. The move culminates with a grubber kick in behind from Holly Aitchison which is gathered by Jess Breach who touches down unscathed.
Dylan O'Connell
The most routine of kicks for Holly Aitchison who taps over the conversion in front of the posts.

Ellie Kildunne makes it looks so easy. That's a brace for the full-back in every game so far. The support lines off first phase is incredible for England. Emily Scarratt features instantly. Abby Dow puts Kildunne through a gap and she arcs her run underneath the posts.

Jones, who gave a superb performance at outside centre makes way for Gregson.

Edel McMahon's handling error results in a scrum to England on halfway.

England call on the experienced Emily Scarratt off the bench as Heard departs.

Aitchison compiles further misery onto the scoreboard with a tricky conversion.

That's the hat-trick for Abby Dow. All too easy from Ireland but England will punish any loose play.

Megan Jones checks Beibhinn Parsons, sets Ellie Kildunne free and a simple tow-on-one is converted as the full-back releases Dow to race home.

Ireland win the penalty at scrumtime which is another small positive. Ireland now have the lineout inside the English half but it is picked off.
