Roy Keane has predicted there will be no more twists in the Premier League title race, as Manchester City took another big step towards retaining their crown with a 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

City’s victory at the City Ground means they are now just four victories away from winning the title, with Arsenal putting pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side after their 3-2 win in the North London derby at Tottenham.

Arsenal may be one point ahead of City for now, but Guardiola’s side have a game in hand and former Manchester United and Ireland captain Keane is convinced they will get the job done now.

Pep Guardiola: Dry pitch helped ‘so lucky’ Man City beat Nottingham Forest

"I think City will win all the rest of their matches now,” Keane told Sky Sports.

"On the back of the Brighton game [on Thursday], that took a lot out of them and Arsenal playing before them and winning, so it was a pressure game.

"Forest were fighting against relegation, so that result… I think that's the title for City now.

"It's all about getting results at this stage of the season. Pep, given the standards he sets, will certainly be concerned with the chances they gave up in the first half, but they had a lot more control in the second half.

"It's the same old story with City, even when they are not at their best. They know how to win football matches, they have good options off the bench, and they have got into a really good habit of winning matches in recent years.”

The Gunners moved four points clear when they beat Tottenham in a frantic north London derby earlier on Sunday, but City immediately responded thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland at the City Ground.

It is now 19 league games unbeaten for City as they perform their perennial trick of coming good just when it matters the most and they know they will be champions for a fourth successive year if they win their remaining four games.

"It was a difficult game, they played with bravery,” said City boss Pep Guardiola. “They have fast players with a lot of quality so we found a goal in the moment when it was 10 against 11.

"It is a great victory as we had a lot of games behind us. Now we have a long week to recover.

"The game changed when Bernardo (Silva) came inside and made a lot of passes. It was difficult because the opponents were so tough, aggressive. These game are so, so tough at this stage in the Premier League.

"Everything can happen. Liverpool have dropped points in the last few games, but that can happen to us, can happen to Arsenal, so tough games for everyone. Fulham away and Spurs away will be difficult.

"I would prefer not to have a long week [off] and to play the Champions League semi-final, but in the circumstances, we have two or three days to recover and prepare for all the finals that we have."
