Laura Fox admitted she hasn’t taken a “breather yet” after leaving the dancefloor on Dancing with the Stars, adding she had “the time of her life” on the show.

The busy Irish presenter, who was hosting the Platinum VIP Style Awards last week, is now getting ready for the upcoming season of Ireland’s Fittest Family.

Speaking at the awards last Friday, she described her time on RTÉ’s dance show as “the best thing she’s ever done”.

“I feel like I had the time of my life. I knew exactly how long I was going to be on there for, it was always going to end on March 17 regardless,” she told the Irish Independent.

“And because I made it right to the end, when it finished, I was like: ‘Oh my god, that was amazing’.

"I loved my last few dances so much. I soaked up every last second of the final day. I got great friends out of it, so when I walked away from it, I was like: ‘What a great experience’,” she said.

The Galway native added she has no time for holidays for now due to getting ready to host the upcoming season of Ireland’s Fittest Family very soon.

"I haven’t taken a breather just yet.

"I don't have time to go on a holiday between now and then but I think coming off the back of doing eight or nine-hour days on DWTS seven days a week – everything feels like a holiday after that.

"I'm in a great place at the moment. I am doing everything I've ever wanted, so to get the opportunity to stay working is amazing, and I'm loving it.

"I've got a great support network around me,” she added.

The former Miss Galway added that she’s “fortunate for” a brand-new audience “who had no idea who she was”.

"I still stand by the fact that it's one of the greatest things that I've ever done, and I've the best memories from it,” she added.

Ms Fox is seeing a physiotherapist following the back injury she suffered during the first week after coming back to her weekend radio show on RTÉ2fm.

"I actually just can't get over the fact that I managed to do four months straight of backflips and front flips, then I take my jacket off too quickly before I go to air on Saturday morning – my first week back on the show – and I can't breathe because I popped my back so badly.

"So I went straight into the physio – I was in there for the last three weeks, we've been doing dry needling, massaging.

"I feel great now which I'm also not taking for granted, I'm like: ‘When are you going to pop again?’,” she added.

The RTÉ presenter has praised her long-term partner Brian Moran, describing him as “absolutely fantastic”.

"Sorry, if you think that I didn't milk the fact my back was sore... I got out of doing everything all over again.

"I was like: ‘Oh no, I can't bring the dog for a walk by myself. I might pop my back out. You’ll have to come with me’. I was making [Brian] constantly be by my side,” she added.
