We’re not romantic like that and I worry she compares our relationship with her previous one

Question: My wife and I recently moved into our first home. There were a load of boxes and, long story short, I came across an old box of hers where she has kept all of her old Valentine’s Day and birthday cards from her ex who she was with for almost 10 years.

I probably shouldn’t have but I read them and I was fairly taken aback. They’re very passionate and poetic — and a bit intense, to be honest. I can be romantic but I’d never write anything like that to her.
