Freddie Scappaticci’s handlers gave him ‘sick pills’ that he could swallow to make him vomit uncontrollably if he wanted to avoid taking part in the murder of an informer, according to a new book.

Henry Hemming says the tablets were disguised as “over-the-counter medication” which Stakeknife could avail of if need be.
