There was no Tier 1 purgatory for the Kerry Under 20 hurlers to endure last year, the Kingdom graded a Tier 2 county from the outset. Sensibly so too you’d have to say.

Seán Maunsell’s men had three games in Leinster last season, winning one of those (against Saturday’s opponents Carlow) and putting in very respectable performances against both Kildare and Laois in their other two games.
