Campile Utd soccer club has been running for over 50 years and it is now beginning the next stage of its development to ensure members will have the facilities they need to train and play in the club.

The club continues to go from strength to strength with membership numbers increasing each year.

“At the moment Campile United caters for over 300 boys and girls from age five to adulthood. We have two pitches, dressing rooms with shower facilities, a meeting room, ball stop netting, fencing and a covered seating stand,” said coach and US league former player and current Wexford FC player, Mikie Rowe.

“Campile United are continuing to maintain and develop our facilities and in the coming months we intend to purchase some land to enable us to have an all weather training pitch. We also plan to add lighting to our pitches and to upgrade our pitch drainage system to ensure our facilities are available for training and matches all year round.”

To make all this possible the club will be holding fundraisers over the coming months to help Campile United fund its development plans.

On Saturday, May 11, the club will be holding a fundraising night in the Waterford greyhound track.

The following are some of the possible sponsorship options: Option 1- Race sponsorship: There are 9-12 (TBC) races on the night, and each of these races is €400 to sponsor. Your company or organisation would have the race named after you and you would also have the option to present the winning dog on the night with pictures taken for social media and news outlets. You could also decide not to do this and we would ask a club member to do the presentation for you. You would also get two tickets to have the full dining experience on the night which includes full table service including betting without having to leave your table.

Option 2: Raffle sponsorship: On the night of the event the club will be hosting a raffle. “We will be looking for sponsorship of prizes for this raffle and we would greatly appreciate any prize big or small,” said Rowe.

Option 3: Ticket entry This is simply buy a ticket for the night for €10 and just turn up and enjoy the night with the rest of your community and hopefully buy a few raffle tickets.

“We consider the club and its grounds to be an important hub for the community and would really appreciate your support.”
